Creative Sewing Machine Happenings!

Now that the Martha Pullen School and Sew What's New events are behind us, we are looking forward to the excitement of the holidays.  Thanksgiving is coming soon and all of us at Creative Sewing want to wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.  We also want to remind you that the store will be closed Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014 and Friday, November 28, 2014.  We will be open on Saturday, November 29 from 9 am to 3 pm.

 

 If you need inspiration for Christmas gifts and decorating come into the store and look around at the beautiful projects you can complete.

 

 We have some beautiful ideas for your Christmas sewing and gift giving.

 

 

We are already planning inspirational events and classes for the first quarter of 2015.  We will be taking fun events from the past, taking them forward and making them fresh.  We will also have a 3 day Serger Workbook Workshop, welcoming all brands of sergers!.  Watch for the dates and time in the new newsletter that will be out at the end of December.

There's nothing more exciting than ringing in the new year! Each new year brings promises of fresh starts and new beginnings. And boy, do we have a year planned out for ya'll! You can check out our quarterly calendar on the side of our blog, or check it out here and read our newsletter here!

Kicking off in January, we have a fun filled weekend planned for you towards the end of the month! On the 24th and the 25th, we'll have two Babylock Educators will be coming in to teach four classes all about sergers! One class will feature a variety of specialty threads as you make samples of techniques which are used in garment construction, heirloom sewing, and decorative embellishments. This class will include techniques like the beautiful Wave stitch, a lettuce edge, a decorative chain stitch and double fold bias binding. The other class will focus on Serger feet and accessories like the belt loop binder, the elastic applicator, the cording foot and the “Super Foot” for doing the Cover and Chain stitch. What a weekend it will be!
